The U.S. Commercial Service invites you to participate in an upcoming webinar highlighting the opportunities in the port sector across Honduras. The Government of Honduras has recently signaled its intent to upgrade security measures within the Honduran port system and is specifically looking for a U.S. consultancy to oversee the projects. Security upgrades include cameras, fencing, communication equipment, etc. The government has confirmed that it has the financial resources in place to support security upgrades, adoption of the BASC principles, as well as other infrastructure projects. Furthermore, the Honduran government would like to highlight concession opportunities for two of the Honduras seaports as well as its government’s desire to forge new partnerships with U.S. ports on the western seaboard as a way to open new trade routes. As a means to encourage more U.S. firms to compete, the U.S. Commercial Service is hosting a webinar about how contractors and suppliers can benefit from this opportunity. Hear from General Manager of the Honduran National Port Authority Mr. Gerrardo Murillo about the agency’s immediate plans and proposals. For more information, contact Mike Calvert (Mike.calvert@trade.gov) or Delia Valdivia (Delia.validvia@trade.gov).
