Charles J. Mambula, I, currently serves as an Associate Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship at Langston University in Oklahoma. While at Langston University for the past thirteen (13 years,) he served in various capacities at the School of Business, as Chair of the School of Business, Chair of the Management Department, and Chair for Entrepreneurial Studies/Director, of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Research. While at Langston University, Dr. Mambula has served on some committees. Notable among, which are the strategic and leadership committee of the school of business, budget and planning committee, assessment committee, and the Institutional Review Board (IRB.) Before he came to Langston, he had taught at various educational institutions in Massachusetts. He obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Wales in the UK and before that had an MBA from the University of Jos in Nigeria, after a BSc in Economics and Business from Manchester College in Indiana, USA. In addition, Dr. Mambula has a certificate in New Testament Survey, from the Center for Biblical Studies in Baltimore, Maryland. He briefly worked with the Small Business Development Institute at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland before coming to Massachusetts.

Mambula has worked with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) at the Eleme Petro-Chemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in Port Harcourt as Chief Marketing Officer. Before this, he worked as a civil servant with the Borno State Government Civil Service as Registrar for Co-operatives, Commercial Officer, and Senior Planning Officer in charge of research. Dr. Mambula doubles as founder and CEO of Gumir-Jethro Consulting Company. Mambula has membership with the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurs (USASBE) and the International Council of Small Business (ICSB). Dr. Mambula is a visiting fellow at the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) in Nigeria since 2016-date. Mambula’s works have been featured in a number of publications and he has done review and focus group work with educational publishers like McGraw Hill Irwin, SAGE and Routledge, in addition, to publishing articles in a number of recognized journals and contribution to book chapters. Some of Dr. Mambula’s articles are published in a variety of journals, which include International Journal of Entrepreneurship, Journal of Small Business management, Small Business Economics Journal, Journal of African Business, Journal of Social Economics  (Special Issue), International Journal of Nigerian Studies and Development, Archives of Business Review, Strategic Management Quarterly, American Research Institute for Policy Development, International Journal of Business Management and Commerce, International Journal of Education and Social Science, International Journal of Applied Management Science, and others.

Dr. Mambula is a recipient of outstanding scholar of the year meritorious award at Langston University, and A Citation of “The Century Humanitarian Award” by the State of Oklahoma in 2009. Dr. Mambula’s other recognitions include, being a recipient of the Distinguished Research Award by Allied Academies, recognition by Cambridge Who is Who for Excellence in Business Management & Education and Service Award by the Organization of Nigerian Nationals, DFW, USA. In addition to being a certified online instructor and educator, Dr. Mambula is also a certified business consultant, journal and book reviewer and holds a certification in Protecting Human Research Participants PHRP.  Dr. Charles J. Mambula 1, is currently recognized as the National Deputy Chairman of the incumbent ruling political party in Nigeria, The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the USA, a position that he has held since 2015.

In the year 2020, Dr. Mambula, was elected and joined the Oklahoma Governor’s International Team (OKGIT) and is currently a member of the Culture and Education committee. Dr. Mambula has been a Professor of Business Management and Entrepreneurship for more than twenty years and has travelled widely across the world.
