The Turkish Raindrop House’s Muammet Ali Sezer has organized a dinner to reach out to the community to get together and build friendship with  neighbors, friends, nonprofits, colleagues, institutions, elected officials, government agencies and community members.  OKGIT members are welcome to bring family members, loved ones and colleagues.

May 23: U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service Recruitment Information Webinar

The 2019 – 2020 Recruitment Cycle will open to accept applications for the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service (USFCS) during the period of May 20 – June 3, 2019. May 28: Turkish Raindrop House Tulsa/Tulsa Global Alliance Ramadan Fast Breaking Dinner

October 7-11: Mexico ITO Business Visit to Oklahoma

Statewide Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce Global Team is looking to arrange business meetings between Oklahoma-Mexico’s Trade Representative Luis Domenech and Sooner State firms interested in trade/exporting assistance into the Mexican market, Oklahoma’s second largest destination for export of goods.

The OKGIT will host an off-monthly meeting in October at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to provide members an opportunity to met with our trade representative. Details to come closer to the event. Contact jesse.garcia@okcommerce.gov for more information.

Fall 2019: Oklahoma Export Financing Seminars

Fall 2019 – Dates and exact locations to be announced, likely in OKC or Tulsa

Half-day seminar in OKC and Tulsa on export financing services along with other relevant tools to help OK businesses compete on level playing field.  Expected invited guests will be the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Center-SBDC (Stillwater), and local bank officials.

Fall 2019: Oklahoma Consular Summit

Preliminary preparations will begin at our May 2019 meeting, but if you would like to learn more about cementing Oklahoma’s diplomatic ties with international consuls and ambassadors, please mark your calendars for the Fall 2019 (likely September or October).
