Shannon Jonathan Marcar an international student from Kolkata, India studying at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). Shannon completed his undergraduate in Psychology, following which he is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Community Counseling Psychology. As an active member in campus activities,  Shannon is the president of Alpha Mu Gama National Foreign Language Honor Society which works to promote world languages here at SWOSU. He is also the Vice President of the International Student Association working to promote cultural inclusivity and diversity on campus. Shannon also works as a graduate assistant for the SWOSU Academic Support Center which helps teach students about college success, provide resources and guidance, as well as help those with academic and study needs. In his spare time, Shannon loves traveling, reading, hanging out with friends and playing the Xbox. As an OKGIT member Shannon hopes to build new connections, expand the scope of resources and promote more research in different fields of study.
